Podcast Recommendations

On any given day, I usually listen to one, if not more, podcasts while I'm getting ready in the morning, cleaning, meal prepping, or even just relaxing in the evening. It was the way I started learning all about paleo five years ago and one of the main ways that I continue to learn everything I can about holistic health and nutrition. If you are a fan of podcasts, read on! You might find a new one to add to your rotation.

1. Mind Pump Media

If you can get past the dad jokes and sometimes inappropriate humor, this fitness podcasts is for you. Hosted by three former trainers, Sal, Adam, and Justin take you through all the BS that is out there in the fitness industry. These guys have such a great dynamic and are putting the legit information that needs to be out there in the health and wellness sphere. The first half of the Q&A shows is usually random banter followed by the guys answering 3-4 questions. Other episodes include interviews and solo topics where the hosts dive into details about a particular area in the fitness industry. You can find out more here.

2. The Balanced Bites Podcast

This was one of the first podcasts I ever started listening to a few years back. Co-hosted by Diane Sanfilippo (author of The 21 Day Sugar Detox and Practical Paleo, among other books) and Liz Wolfe (author of Eat the Yolks), the BB podcast covers all things holistic health and nutrition. From stress to pregnancy health, this podcast has you covered! Plus, with over seven years of archives, you can easily search through old episodes to find the answers to just about any question. You can find out more here.

3. Girls Gone WOD Podcast

What started off as a crossfit podcast is now simply two co-hosts sitting down and talking about anything and everything. Joy and Claire have a great, no BS approach to just telling it like it is. If you want a podcast that is like having a group of girlfriends around quoting Mean Girls all day, this one is for you! You can find it here.

4. The Paleo View

Again, this is one of the podcasts I started listening to so long ago. Co-hosted by Stacy Toth (author of several cookbooks) and Sarah Ballantyne (author of Paleo Principles and all things autoimmune in nature), The Paleo View covers all the topics related to holistic health on a scientific, yet understandable, level. If you want to nerd-out on topics like gut health or celery juice, that is the podcast for you! You can find it here.

I have several others in my rotation, but these are my topic listened-to shows each week! I hope you enjoy checking them out and continuing to learn as much as I do.

xoxo Olivia
