Thanksgiving

Last week, I was at a young adults Catholic group, and while at dinner, we went around and stated what we were thankful for. It was amazing to hear the responses from everyone present; they were so heartfelt and well thought out, versus shallow and simple. Given that it is Thanksgiving, I decided that I would share what I'm thankful for this year.

This year, I'm thankful for the gift of insight. I have spent a lot of time this year thinking about the past ten years of my life. It has allowed me to piece together some of God's plan for me and why certain things happened in my life at certain times and why certain things didn't. This insight has been overwhelmingly helpful as I continue to grow and learn as a person and holistic practitioner as well.

My goal in this next year of living and learning is to continue to think critically about my life, goals, and what I want to achieve with a focus on trusting in God's plan completely and fully. While it's nice to have insight about events from years ago now, it would be even better to have them in real time. However, as well all know, this isn't possible. So instead, I'm choosing to trust the process and know that in ten years, I'll be able to look back with even great insight and wisdom.

What are you grateful for this year?

xoxo Olivia
