My Favorite Things: June

Here we are, two days left in the month of June. It's crazy to think that we're halfway through the year already!
June has been quite the month for me. A lot has been going on, and this month has been proof to me that your life can change pretty quickly (for the better this time!). I've still been keeping very busy with work and life outside of work while also trying to keep tabs on my health, which isn't always easy. Regardless, today I'm sharing a few of my favorite things from the month of June:
1. Beautycounter Resurfacing Peel
This new peel that Beautycounter just launched this month has changed my skin in just a few uses. It's not a traditional peel. You leave it on your skin and it absorbs into your skin without physically peeling off your skin or leaving it looking sketchy. Instead, it improves your skin texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, while also reducing the appearance of pores (yay!) and dark spots. I already can see a difference in my pores, especially on my nose! You can find out more about the peel here.
2. Full Body Workouts
After my trip to Denver in May, I decided it was time to switch up my regular body part split fitness routine I had been following for some time and start a full body routine. All the research I've been doing lately has been pushing me in this direction; I was just scared to make the change! But I reminded myself I could always go back to what I was doing if the change didn't work. Luckily, I didn't have to switch back as I'm loving the full body workouts. They allow me to hit each muscle group more frequently but with less intensity, so the overall volume stays the same, but the stimulus to the muscle group increases throughout the week. It's been a great switch!
3. The Comedy Loft
If you are in Nebraska, I highly recommend visiting the new Comedy Loft in the Creamery building in the Haymarket in Lincoln, NE. I've been to six different shows in the row, and I can't recommend it enough! Each week features a different comedian, and there are shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Tickets are super affordable at $15 apiece. If you are in need of a laugh, it's definitely worth a visit! You can find more info here.
4. Vital Proteins Collagen
I've talked about VP collagen several times on the blog, but recently I've been way better about incorporating into my daily food intake. The trick I discovered is to add it into my pureed cauliflower and parsnip mash I've been making every week as a part of my meal prep. When I stir it into those foods, I forget it's in there and I can't taste it at all! It's much more convenient for me as I really don't drink much other than water (collagen is great stirred into coffee, smoothies, matcha, or yogurt). You can order it here.
Otherwise, I'm excited to continue through this busy summer. If July is anything like June has been thus far, I'm excited to see what happens! How's your summer been so far?
xoxo Olivia
