It Is What It Is

Obviously this blog post is getting posted a little later than normal - I simply didn't have time this weekend! With that in mind, I'm going to keep this post short, sweet, and to the point.

"It is what it is" is a phrase you can use to describe just about anything in your life. It hasn't always been a phase that I"ve been comfortable with, especially growing up wanting to be in control of so many aspects in my life.

But I"m slowly learning to say "it is what it is" and stop worrying about making sure everything I do or say is perfect. I'm learning that sometimes, perfect isn't (and shouldn't) be the goal.

"It is what it is" isn't a signal of defeat, like you can't do anything more about the situation. You're simply giving up that desire to try and control everything. You're deciding to go with the flow and allow God to be in full control.

What areas of your life could little bit more of this attitude? When you adopt it, it can be truly transformational. Trust me - I speak from experience.

xoxo Olivia
