Our Lives Change When Our Habits Change

Our days are made up of little habits that we do on a regular basis - so, it makes sense that our lives will start to change when our habits change.

By taking a look at our habits - the things we do every day - we can see certain patterns emerge. We can't help that we are creatures of habit!

However, sometimes it's our habits that can hold us back and hinder us from becoming our healthiest and best selves.

Our lives change when our habits change.

If you don't have a habit of setting some time aside each day or week for prayer or church (no matter your faith beliefs), your life would change from adding in some time with God.

If you don't have a habit of eating vegetables on a daily basis, your health would change dramatically by adding them into your diet in favor of not-so-great foods.

If you don't have a habit of laughing and spending time with true friends, your outlook on life would change to one more focused on joy and love.

Those are just simple examples, but in all those examples, making one simple change to a daily or weekly or even monthly habit could make a big difference in your life.

Our lives change when our habits change.

What are you most common habits? What is your daily routine or weekly schedule? What habits take priority and which ones get pushed to the back of our mind? Are there any habits that are pulling you down (drinking too much, staying out too late, etc)?

To help make this concept more concrete in your mind, write down five habits that you want to keep, five habits that your want to ditch, and five habits that you want to add into your life. Post this list somewhere where you will see it everyday, and start to make those changes to those habits.

Our lives chagne when our habits change.

xoxo Olivia
