We all want to be loved. It is one of the simplest desires buried deep inside of ourselves. It's something we spend our entire life searching for, sometimes wasting years and years searching for it in all the wrong places.
True, lasting, eternal love can't really come from material possessions here on earth. We can try and try, searching for that love in money, status, and wealth. But we will never truly be happy or feel loved.
Where true love really lies is with Christ. It is when we give of ourselves to Christ and allow him to be at the center of our lives that we feel this love.
That being said, it's not easy to turn your life over to Christ. As humans, we have a tendency to want to control every aspect of our lives and only turn to God when we really need him or are in trouble.
However, when we turn over control of our lives to Christ, we start to live life fuller, experiencing true love, joy, hope, and peace. The pieces start to fall into place, and live becomes easier and you become happier.
Love can change you. Love can change the world. It's time to turn back to the love we are truly meant to experience, the love that comes from God and his son, Jesus Christ.
